Workshop on ‘Preparing Effective Lesson and Teaching Plans’

MIER College of Education organized a workshop for the faculty at Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) under an MoU signed between the two institutions. The resource persons were Dr. Bharti Tandon, Associate Professor, and Dr. Bindu Dua, Assistant Professor, PG Department, MIER College of Education. The workshop was divided into two sessions. Dr. Tandon explained the components, essentials, and approaches of lesson planning. Dr. Tandon comprehensively discussed with examples the Constructivist 5E approach of lesson planning, its concept, principles, phases and role of teacher in this approach. Dr. Dua explained the three domains of Bloom’s & revised Taxonomy namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Dr. Dua also discussed the Regional College of Education, Mysore’s (RCEM) approach of lesson planning, its design, structure and steps with examples.
