Guest Lecture related to curriculum by Alumni

    The Alumni Committee of the College organized a lecture on Assessment Tools at Pre-School and School Level: MDPS and GLAD as part of its ongoing efforts to foster collaboration between the college and its accomplished alumni. The aim of the initiative was to provide valuable insights to students enrolled in the B.Ed. Spl. Education (ID) Semester I, course titled Assessment and Identification of Needs (Course Code 106). Mr. Ashish Anand, a distinguished alumnus from the 2012-2013 batch and a Special Educator at APS Jammu Cantt, delivered the lecture, sharing his expertise and experience in the field of special education. Mr. Ashish Anand initiated the session by introducing himself and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the academic development of the students. He emphasized the significance of assessment tools in the educational context, with a particular focus on the MDPS (Modified Developmental Profile Scale) and GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) frameworks. Mr. Ashish Anand elaborated on the fundamental principles and methodologies underlying MDPS and GLAD, providing insightful examples, case studies, and practical insights derived from his professional experience in the field.
    Throughout the lecture, Mr. Ashish Anand actively encouraged audience engagement and participation, creating an interactive learning environment. Students enthusiastically posed questions, seeking clarification on various aspects of the assessment tools and their implementation strategies. Mr. Ashish Anand adeptly addressed these queries, enriching the discourse and facilitating a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
