The award honors the college’s impactful initiatives in rural development, including organizing Gram Sabhas, conducting surveys, leading health awareness campaigns, promoting educational outreach programs, and implementing various sustainable development activities. These efforts have significantly contributed to improving rural infrastructure, fostering awareness, and empowering communities towards self-reliance.
The participatory institutions workshop, held at IIT Jammu, highlighted the college’s dedication to bridging the gap between academia and grassroots development, aligning with the objectives of UBA. This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the UBA team, MIER faculty and staff, and the active participation of the villagers.
