Facilitation Note

As part of the celebration of International Biodiversity Day, the Environment Unit of MIER College of Education, in collaboration with the J&K Biodiversity Council, successfully organized a Painting/Poster Making Competition on May 20, 2025. Sixteen students participated enthusiastically, on the theme “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development” through their impressive artwork.
The Department took the opportunity to extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Nishta Rana, Professor and Head, School of Education, and Dr. Monika Bajaj, Associate Professor and Head, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, for sharing their valuable insights as judges. Special thanks and commendation are also extended to Mrs. Suman Gupta, Assistant Professor and In-charge of the Environment Unit, for her exemplary leadership and dedication in coordinating the event. Her tireless efforts and collaboration with the J&K Biodiversity Council were instrumental in ensuring the program’s success and impact.
As a token of appreciation and recognition of their support and contributions, appreciation letters were also presented to Dr. Nishta Rana, Dr. Monika Bajaj, and Mrs. Suman Gupta during the program.
