Inter-departmental Symposium On Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future

The Environment Unit of MIER College of Education, Jammu, Celebrated National Science Day by organizing an Inter-departmental Symposium Competition on the theme: “Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future,” Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal, MIER College of Education graced the occasion. Dr. Moolraj Sharma, HoD PG Department, Dr. Rohnika Sharma, HoD UG Department along with the faculty members and students attended the symposium.
Mrs. Suman Gupta, in charge of the Environment Unit, extended a warm welcome to the audience and highlighted that National Science Day is celebrated in India each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by renowned Indian Physicist Sir C. V. Raman (Nobel Prize Winner in Physics).
More than 14 Students from both U.G. and P.G. Departments participated in the Symposium and presented their views on the theme. On the basis of the results given by the jury Ms. Anjeshri B.Ed. Semester IV bagged first position, Ms. Jyoti Sharma B.Ed. Special Education Semester 1 stood 2nd and Ms. Sonali Sharma M.Ed Semester 1 came 3rd.
